The original Laphroaig, distilled the same way today as when Ian Hunter invented it over 75 years ago.In making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour.

Finish: Lingering

About The Whisky:
Teacher’s single malt comes from the Ardmore distillery founded by the Teachers family themselves back in 1898. It is the last Highland distillery to still fully peat it’s malted barley giving it a rich complex taste. But the secret of its depth of character comes from the secondary maturation the whisky enjoys in tiny ‘Quarter Casks’.
These barrels were common over a century ago, but are rarely found these days. The additional contact with the oak creates a deep powerful flavour profile with an extraordinary long finish.
Body: Full and rich but with a subtle gentleness.
Taste: Full rich flavours burst and fill the mouth a creamy peat tang and a touch of vanilla’s soft gentleness.

Just like Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. Gentleman Jack, however, receives an additional “blessing” when it is charcoal mellowed again after reaching maturity – making it the only whiskey in the world to be charcoal mellowed twice, giving it ultimate smoothness. Gentleman Jack is full-bodied with fruit and spices, and its finish is silky, warm, and pleasant. When you drink Gentleman Jack, do so with pride, for this is the whiskey a gentleman orders.

Bombay sapphire are passionate about producing the finest gin possible; which is why their creatio is truly unique. Whilst ordinary gins boil their botanicals directly in the spirit to achieve their flavour, the taste of Bombay Sapphire is created through the Vapour Infusion process.
The 10 precious botanicals used in their gin are held separate from the spirit in perforated copper baskets, and when the heated vapours rise, the distinctive flavour of the botanicals are released. The result? A complex aromatic liquid that delivers a broader, more balanced flavour.

About The Gin:
Cucumber and citrus on the nose. A tad lemon, but there’s a nice bit of juniper in here. Recognizable as not normal Gordon’s for sure. That faint vegetable note, although sweet, might be enough to push folks out of the comfort zone.
Taste is weak and slightly sweet at first, culminating rapidly with a flash of heat and juniper. The middle is where a lot of the traditional gin notes lie. A little bit of coriander, and some earthiness, a bit citrus. It’s nice. The finish is cooling, rather quiet but leaves a long lingering note of cucumber and juniper. Finishes quite smooth, but at 37.5% alcohol, you might expect this a little. A little bit of bitterness on the long finish.

About The Gin:
The original 80 proof (40%abv) was the first to be developed back in 1998 and was launched in 1999 making it the original Super Premium Gin. Made to a traditional London Dry Style in flavour profile and dryness, this gin uses a mix of ultra traditional distilling methods allied to Martin’s own iconoclastic ‘take’ on gin distilling.
In a break with tradition, there are two separate distillations for the juniper and earthier botanicals that are later ‘married’ or blended with a second separate distillation of the citrus elements of bitter orange peel from Seville, lemon and lime peel. These techniques contribute to the gin’s unique freshness and clarity of flavour.
